Job summary

O&K American Corp is seeking a Maintenance Leader to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and electrical controls at our Seymour, IN facility. The role supports a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the plant runs safely and efficiently.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, install and modify equipment, and guide a team on repair projects while adhering to codes and process requirements. A strong maintenance background in manufacturing is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Preference for experience in Industrial Manufacturing, Electrical, Welding or Military education.
• Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• HVAC, plumbing, welding, and industrial electrical/mechanical experience a plus.
• Experience operating forklift and overhead crane.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills with all staff levels.
• Team oriented and able to think strategically and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and electrical controls.
• Support mechanical, cleaning, and other repairs to keep the facility functional.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and electrical systems; replace parts and test.
• Install and modify equipment; design distribution lines for new installations.
• Redesign circuits and update wiring diagrams to reflect changes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and recommend actions.
• Direct helpers on repair projects.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring equipment on plant systems.
• Assist in training departmental staff.
