Job summary

O&K American Corp, located in Seymour, IN, seeks a maintenance technician for the 2nd shift to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and controls. The role covers electrical, mechanical, and process systems to keep the plant running smoothly.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues with PLCs, read diagrams and manuals, and supervise helpers on repair projects. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training within Industrial Manufacturing, Electrical, Welding, Tradesman ship, or Military education preferred.
• Proven experience as a maintenance worker in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, welding, and Industrial Electrical, and Mechanical experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair equipment in accordance with code and process requirements, pull wires, bend conduit, and ensure power distribution is balanced for proper operation.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, perform electrical tests, replace defective parts, reassemble and test.
• Repair equipment and structures; test and tear down equipment and replace components such as motors, belts, and gear boxes.
• Direct helpers on repair projects; assist in training departmental employees.
