Job summary

Core Spaces is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to lead on-site maintenance, ensure safety, and mentor junior staff at our Madison properties. You will manage complex work orders, coordinate vendor activities, and drive preventative maintenance across building systems.

The role requires advanced technical skills, proactive planning, and a strong leadership mindset to uphold our resident-focused standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in student housing or multi-family properties.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and complete complex maintenance work orders in residential units and common areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including leaks and clogs.
• Perform drywall repair and painting tasks.
• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules across all building systems.
• Identify, report, and repair safety hazards promptly.
• Support emergency repairs and coordinate vendor work.
• Maintain property curb appeal and groundskeeping.
