Job summary

Madison Apartment Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to direct the on-site maintenance program across properties. You will lead the maintenance team, manage budgets, coordinate projects, and ensure safety and cleanliness for residents.

The role requires hands-on skills in carpentry, HVAC, electrical and plumbing, plus experience with maintenance systems like Yardi. On-call duties and budgeting responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of maintenance experience; multifamily preferred.
• CPO and HVAC certification preferred; ability to obtain required.
• Experience with maintenance systems, inventory control and preventive maintenance.
• Proficiency in electrical and plumbing repairs, mechanical systems, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site maintenance team, provide performance feedback and support.
• Interview, hire, and train maintenance personnel and give feedback.
• Participate in on-call maintenance rotation and respond to requests.
• Coordinate daily with Property Manager on programs, projects, and expenditures.
• Perform maintenance tasks including carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and pool tasks.
• Inspect and maintain property safety and condition, keeping records.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and service requests; maintain records.
• Maintain grounds and assist with seasonal tasks as needed.
• Oversee tools, parts, and materials to ensure proper functioning.
• Manage resident service requests using Yardi; ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate contractor work and maintenance budgets; ensure compliance with EPA/OSHA.
