Job summary

Americold is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and guide maintenance associates, ensuring completion of department objectives while performing maintenance duties on refrigeration and material handling equipment. You will lead troubleshooting, monitor system performance, and coordinate contractor activities to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, or 2 years plus supervisory experience.
• Skilled in refrigeration, material handling equipment, dock doors/levelers, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance.
• Must complete assigned industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses and obtain HAZMAT certification.
• Experience with CMMS and MS Office; OSHA PSM programs in industrial settings desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and guidance to maintenance associates to meet department objectives.
• Operate, repair, and adjust refrigeration systems and material handling equipment.
• Monitor performance, analyze reliability, and recommend corrective actions.
• Direct contractor work and ensure safety/compliance; maintain preventive maintenance records.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support technician development.
