Job summary

Americold is seeking a Refrigeration Technician I to support warehouse operations with refrigeration system maintenance and on-call shifts. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, electrical/mechanical repairs, and maintaining equipment reliability to meet safety and performance standards.

Qualifications include 2 years of refrigeration or maintenance experience, HS diploma or GED, and optional HVAC/R certification. OSHA compliance and HAZMAT training are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of refrigeration or maintenance experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC/R certification or technical degree required if experience is not met.
• Successful completion of assigned industrial refrigeration or mechanical-electrical courses required.
• HAZMAT training and certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and repair refrigeration systems and perform adjustments.
• Monitor system performance and identify operational issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance on warehouse equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and recommend corrective actions.
• Test, maintain, and evaluate equipment performance using appropriate instruments.
• Maintain tools and machinery in good condition and ensure proper use.
• Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and uphold housekeeping standards.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
