Job summary

Americold is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance associates and guide the team in achieving department objectives. You will perform technician duties, lead troubleshooting of refrigeration and material handling systems, and monitor performance to implement corrective actions.

You will coordinate contractors, maintain preventive maintenance records, and drive site-wide continuous improvement while ensuring safety standards and effective communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, or minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience plus supervisory or lead experience.
• Skilled in industrial refrigeration, material handling equipment, dock door and leveler, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance.
• Required to complete assigned industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses and obtain HAZMAT certification.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance associates to ensure department objectives are met and perform maintenance technician duties.
• Lead troubleshooting, repair, and adjustment of refrigeration and material handling equipment; monitor performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate contractor activities and maintain preventive maintenance records; support continuous improvement across the site.
• Develop capability of facility technicians and ensure effective communication across maintenance shifts.
• Oversee safety compliance and inspect work to meet specifications.
