Job summary

ResProp Management is expanding its maintenance leadership team to support a new South Austin community. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional resident experience from day one, with hands-on management of service operations, repairs, and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate has extensive maintenance and management experience, EPA Universal certification, and a toolkit ready for field work in a growing multi-family portfolio.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of general maintenance/general repair experience; 3 years in apartment industry required.
• Management experience required.
• EPA Universal certification required.
• CPO certification highly preferred.
• Trade skills including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliances, etc.
• Trade Licensing preferred but not required.
• Tech savvy; use computers and basic software programs.
• Must have own tool kit.
• Must live within 30 minutes of property.
• Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule.
• Must be able to perform physical requirements up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of service operations to achieve goals.
• Complete work orders including repairs on appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Maintain positive customer service with residents and prospective tenants.
• Train maintenance teammates and encourage growth.
• Provide input to Property Manager on teammate performance and resident feedback.
• Assist Property Manager with recruiting and interviewing maintenance staff.
• Organize maintenance shop and property appearance.
• Research and evaluate current and potential maintenance products.
• Schedule and supervise in-house and vendor work.
• Manage work orders and response times within deadlines.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies.
