Job summary

Ocado Group seeks a Senior Maintenance Engineer to run reactive and planned maintenance on mechanical handling equipment at the Customer Fulfillment Center. You will troubleshoot conveyors, lifts, cranes, and belts, while maintaining records and ensuring safety.

Role requires five years' direct electrical/mechanical experience, strong controls knowledge, and experience with CMMS. Expect shift work, some travel in North America during training, and opportunities to improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate's or vocational degree in electrical or mechanical discipline or equivalent training.
• Minimum of five years of direct experience in the mechanical or electrical field.
• Strong electrical experience, preferably in FMCG environments.
• Experience with controls, fault analysis and solutions.
• Experience with reactive and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• React to MHE breakdowns (mechanical and electrical) and complete fixes to minimize downtime.
• Keep accurate work records (activities, parts used, etc.).
• Align priorities and monitor KPIs to support customer service goals.
• Collaborate with inbound, pick, dispatch and other teams to support assets and daily operations.
• Mentor assigned Maintenance Engineers and provide guidance on repairs.
• Perform assembly and sub-assembly repairs using instructions and schematics.
• Work with other departments to increase machine reliability and diagnose failures.
• Attend meetings, analyze data and propose solutions for equipment performance and safety.
