Job summary

Ocado Group is a UK-based company that operates automated Customer Fulfillment Centers and online grocery services through Ocado Smart Platform (OSP). The Maintenance Engineer will handle electrical and mechanical planned maintenance, diagnose faults, and contribute to continuous improvement within our cutting-edge CFCs.

The role involves training trips to North America during the initial 6–9 months, and may require travel as the facility ramps up. Shift patterns include weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree in electrical or mechanical discipline with 3+ years of experience.
• Minimum of two years direct mechanical or electrical field experience.
• Experience with electrical or mechanical maintenance including predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Experience diagnosing equipment breakdowns, resolving issues, and executing repairs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work at height with access equipment.
• Strong technical ability relating to automation hardware and software.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Experience with CMMS and MS Office/GSuite.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical planned maintenance across site safely.
• Update records of work activities, parts used, training given.
• Perform assembly and sub-assembly repairs following instructions.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose issues, and implement repairs.
• Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment.
• Analyze data to improve MHE performance and report findings.
• Complete quality inspections to ensure safe standards.
