Job summary

Ocado Group, a UK-based automated grocery leader, seeks a Maintenance Engineer for its North American operations. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance in an automated CFC, with training on-site and potential travel to other North American sites during initial weeks.

You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, update records, and support continuous improvement on MHE performance. Shift flexibility including days/nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree in electrical or mechanical discipline.
• Minimum of three years experience in mechanical or electrical field.
• Experience carrying out electrical or mechanical maintenance, including predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Experience diagnosing and documenting equipment breakdowns and repairs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to train others.
• Ability to prioritize and stay organized.
• Comfortable working at heights with various access equipment.
• Proficient with automation hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical planned maintenance across the site.
• Update records of work activities, parts used, and training given.
• Perform assembly and sub-assembly repairs using instructions and schematics.
• Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns, and perform repairs.
• Conduct daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment.
• Analyze data to improve MHE performance and provide reports.
• Complete quality inspections ensuring safety standards.
