Job summary

Ocado Group is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our North America operations at a Customer Fulfillment Center. You will lead corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical handling equipment, analyze faults, and drive improvements to uptime and safety.

The role requires five years of electrical or mechanical experience, an associate degree, and the ability to work at heights. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with inbound/pick/dispatch teams, and support commissioning

Qualifications

• Associate’s or vocational degree in electrical or mechanical discipline with at least five years’ experience.
• Minimum five years direct experience in mechanical or electrical field.
• Strong electrical experience preferable within a FMCG environment.
• Experience with controls, fault analysis and solutions.
• Experience with reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Good organization and communication across a multi-disciplined team.
• Comfortable working at heights with access equipment.
• Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software.
• Proficient with CMMS and MS Office / G-Suite.

Responsibilities

• React to MHE breakdowns (mechanical and electrical), locate fault, fix promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of work activities and parts used.
• Align priorities and monitor KPIs to support optimized service.
• Collaborate with inbound, pick, dispatch areas and other support teams to guide labor and activities.
• Provide maintenance mentoring for assigned engineers.
• Perform assembly and sub-assembly repairs per instructions and schematics.
• Work with other departments to increase machine reliability and diagnose faults.
• Attend meetings, analyze data and implement equipment improvements.
• Participate in projects to develop efficient installation and commissioning.
• Complete quality inspections to ensure safety standards.
