Slalom is seeking an experienced Mainframe QA Lead for a large-scale Core Banking Modernization program. This remote, EST-hours role is a project-based contract starting October 15, 2026 and running through June 30, 2027.

You will lead manual testing across mainframe and integrated banking applications, driving data validation and defect resolution. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of QA in enterprise contexts, strong mainframe testing skills, and hands-on Tosca and qTest experience to ensure

Qualifications

• 7+ years of QA experience in large enterprise programs.
• Proven experience leading manual testing across large initiatives.
• Experience with mainframe applications and data validation.
• Hands-on Tosca and qTest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead manual testing for a core banking transformation workstream.
• Execute test cases across mainframe and integrated banking apps.
• Create and maintain test scripts, scenarios, and execution docs.
• Validate end-to-end account lifecycle and servicing processes.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation across systems.
• Identify, document, and track defects to resolution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure test coverage.
• Support test planning, defect triage, and release readiness.
• Utilize test management tools for reporting.
