Job summary

Slalom is seeking an experienced Mainframe QA Lead to support a large-scale Core Banking Modernization and Core Deposit Replacement program. You will lead manual testing across mainframe and integrated banking applications, ensuring quality and end-to-end data accuracy.

This project-based contract offers remote work with EST hours, starting Oct 15, 2026 and through June 30, 2027. Ideal candidates bring strong mainframe testing skills, experience with Tosca and qTest, and collaborative

Qualifications

7+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience.
Leading manual testing efforts on large enterprise programs.
Strong experience testing mainframe applications and transactions.
Navigate mainframe screens and validate data across systems.
Hands-on with Tricentis Tosca and qTest.
Experience validating data elements, rules and downstream processing.

Responsibilities

Lead manual testing activities for a critical workstream within a large-scale core banking transformation program.
Execute test cases and validate business processes across mainframe and integrated banking applications.
Create, maintain, and enhance test scripts, test scenarios, and test execution documentation.
Validate end-to-end account lifecycle and account servicing processes across multiple systems.
Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accurate transmission of customer and account information.
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
Collaborate with stakeholders and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Support test planning, defect triage, and release readiness activities.
