You will partner with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to analyze workload behavior, forecast needs, and lead initiatives to maximize platform efficiency while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise IBM mainframe environments (z/OS).
• 5+ years in capacity planning and performance engineering.
• 3+ years analyzing utilization trends and forecasting capacity.
• 3+ years using mainframe monitoring and performance management tools.
• 2+ years advanced Excel reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize enterprise mainframe resource utilization and capacity.
• Perform capacity planning, trend analysis, and real-time performance diagnostics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations to reduce MIPS consumption.
• Develop utilization reports and capacity recommendations for investments and upgrades.
• Provide leadership for testing, production support, and on-call incident response.
