Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe professional for a remote role in the United States. The candidate will lead design, development, support, and optimization of MQ-based messaging solutions and Claims applications, partnering with onsite and offshore teams.

Requirements include 7+ years with mainframe technologies (CICS, MQ) and Healthcare Claims Adjudication, strong communication, and leadership abilities. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 with incentive eligibility.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with mainframe technologies, including CICS and MQ.
• Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes and related workflows.
• Knowledge of code migration and release management processes.
• Experience with package creation and code promotion across Development, Test, QA, and Production environments.
• Knowledge of post-deployment validation and backout procedures.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient mainframe systems.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe Claims applications using CICS and MQ.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, project managers, and support teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members and coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
• Serve as a key point of contact for technical issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with established coding standards and best practices.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
