Job summary

Capgemini in the United States is seeking an experienced mainframe developer to design, develop, and support health insurance applications using PL/I, IMSDB, DB2, JCL, and SAS on mainframe platforms.

The candidate will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with Product Owners and Business Units, performing production support, and deploying code via Git and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of REST, MQ, and AWS AI capabilities is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with Mainframe technologies: PL/1, IMSDB, DB2, JCL, SORT.
• Experience in Health Insurance application development and support.
• Hands-on with SAS, REXX, JCL, and Sort on mainframe systems.
• Knowledge of web services, REST APIs, JSON and MQ messaging.
• Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M and modern DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD).
• Awareness of AWS cloud and AI capabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Health Insurance applications using Mainframe technologies.
• Provide production support and coordinate development activities.
• Participate in Agile processes and coordinate between Product Owners and Business Units.
• Debug and deploy code using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
