Job summary

CTG is seeking a Mainframe Application Developer to design, develop, test, and support COBOL-based applications in a DIN environment. The role includes maintenance, production support, and performance tuning for DB2 and SQL in a batch/online setting.

You will work with COBOL, JCL, CICS, z/OS utilities, and modern DevOps practices to ensure reliable operations. A Bachelor's degree and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience developing and supporting enterprise mainframe applications.
• Strong COBOL, JCL, DB2, and SQL experience.
• Experience with production support, incident resolution, debugging, and batch/online processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Perform application enhancements, troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and production support.
• Analyze and resolve production incidents, abends, and batch processing issues.
• Support batch and online processing and collaborate with technical and business teams.
• Perform SQL queries, database updates, performance tuning, and application maintenance.
• Support legacy application modernization, integration, and data transformation initiatives.
