Job summary

Delta Computer Consulting is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer to support enterprise Parts Applications and Supply Chain systems in a large automotive environment. You will lead analysis, design, development, testing, and production support for mission-critical mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM, and DB2.

The role requires deep mainframe expertise, SDLC mastery, and collaboration with project managers, business stakeholders, and development teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Advanced COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM and DB2 expertise.
Experience with SDLC and enterprise-level systems.

Responsibilities

Lead analysis, design, development, testing and production support for mainframe apps.
Collaborate with PMs, BAs, Architects and QA throughout SDLC.
Develop and maintain COBOL-based mainframe components (CICS/JCL/IMS/DB2).
Provide unit, integration and UAT testing, plus deployment support.
Ensure adherence to enterprise standards and change processes.
Support Agile and Waterfall methodologies across projects.
