CVS Health is seeking a Senior Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator to support and optimize Db2 for z/OS and IDMS across critical healthcare platforms. You will lead modernization, performance tuning, and automation efforts, ensuring high availability and reliability in a large-scale mainframe environment.

The role emphasizes production support, disaster recovery, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and secure data integrity in a 24x7 operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Db2 for z/OS Database Administration
• 3+ years of experience with Db2 Administration Tools such as Query Monitor and OMEGAMON
• 3+ years of advanced SQL performance tuning and index management
• 3+ years of experience with JCL development and 24x7 on-call production support
• 1+ year of experience designing or supporting database replication solutions

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise Db2 z/OS and IDMS databases in production and non-production environments
• Optimize performance through SQL tuning, index recommendations, and RUNSTATS
• Develop automation to improve database administration and legacy support
• Manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery processes with testing
• Support Db2 Function Level upgrades, migrations, and DB2 utilities execution
• Respond to production incidents and change requests while on 24x7 on-call rotation
• Provide technical consultation to development, infrastructure, and application teams
