Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) to support and optimize Db2 for z/OS and IDMS environments. You will design, tune, backup/recover, and automate enterprise databases, ensuring high availability for critical healthcare platforms.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on Db2 for z/OS DBA experience.
3+ years with Db2 Administration Tools (OMEGAMON, LOAD, REORG, SPUFI).
3+ years advanced SQL performance tuning in Db2 z/OS environments.
3+ years JCL development and 24x7 production on-call support.
1+ year designing or supporting replication in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Administer Db2 z/OS and IDMS databases across production and non-production environments.
Optimize SQL performance, analyze access paths, and recommend indexes.
Develop automation to improve database administration processes.
Manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery testing.
Support Db2 upgrades, migrations, and utility execution.
Respond to incidents and change requests while on 24x7 on-call rotation.
Provide technical consultation to development, infrastructure, and application teams.
