Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – CICS Remote to deliver premium support for CICS TS on z/OS across client environments in the United States. The role emphasizes installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of OEM products, with coverage across time zones to provide 24/7 support.

You will participate in migrations, disaster recovery tasks, and coordinate with other teams while following ITSM change control procedures and Ensono standards for productivity and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years on the zSeries mainframe, with hands-on CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS capabilities and related OEM products.
• Thorough knowledge of IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS problems.
• Provide 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM software following Ensono standards for productivity and scalability.
• Prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrades using a proactive checklist.
• Support customer migrations and transitions related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Assist migration of newly acquired customers to address technical hurdles.
• Coordinate with Disaster Recovery Services on DR plans.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures and release processes.
• Implement vendor product corrections and upgrades to z/OS products.
