Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to support CICS TS and WAS on z/OS. This role covers installation, testing, and maintenance of system software, plus performance monitoring and problem resolution in a 24x7 environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare partitions for OS upgrades, support customer migrations, and contribute to disaster recovery planning, while following Ensono standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years on the zSeries mainframe with hands-on experience (CICS TS / WAS) and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS and related OEM products and tailoring.
• Strong knowledge of IBM SMP/E and z/OS performance tools.
• Analytical skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers in a timely manner regarding CICS TS and OEM software.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS / WAS issues.
• Offer 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM software per best practices and Ensono standards.
• Prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrade with proactive actions checklists.
• Support customer migrations related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Assist migrations for newly acquired customers to avoid delays.
• Coordinate disaster recovery tasks with DR services.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures.
