Job summary

Signature IT World Inc is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with 10+ years of enterprise mainframe development. The role focuses on COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM, delivering reliable solutions in a mainframe environment.

You will analyze business requirements, design robust technical solutions, and support production environments, including debugging and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mainframe development experience.
• Hands-on COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS and VSAM proficiency.
• Strong SQL and database development skills; batch and online TP.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain COBOL mainframe applications supporting critical business processes.
• Design, develop and optimize JCL jobs for batch processing and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain DB2 database programs, including SQL queries and tuning.
• Develop and support CICS online programs for real-time transactions.
• Work with VSAM files for storage, access, and file management.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Optimize programs and batch processes for performance and reliability.
• Participate in testing, deployment and production support activities.
• Collaborate with analysts, technical teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise coding and quality standards.
