Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior M365 SharePoint Engineer to lead on-premises to SharePoint Online migrations and modern intranet implementations. You will shape information architecture, governance, and upgrade patterns while partnering with client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Expect rigorous discovery, design, build and migration activities across the full project lifecycle, with a focus on cross-workstream collaboration and knowledge transfer to client teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of consulting experience delivering SharePoint solutions.
• Hands-on with SharePoint Server (2013/2016/2019) and SharePoint Online.
• Experience planning and executing migrations using migration tools.
• Experience implementing modern SharePoint Online intranets.
• Working knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps/Automate).
• Strong stakeholder management and client communications.
• Experience in regulated/security environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess & plan migrations: run discovery/inventory, define migration scope and waves, estimate effort/complexity, and establish cutover and hypercare plans.
• Design the target intranet: information architecture, hub/site strategy, navigation, search approach, metadata/content types, and permissions model.
• Execute migrations: configure and operate Microsoft and third-party migration tooling, manage pilots, remediate issues, and drive successful cutovers.
• Modernize solutions: map legacy workflows/forms (e.g., SharePoint Designer/InfoPath/Nintex/K2) to Power Automate and Power Apps patterns where appropriate.
• Enable operations & governance: establish standards, provisioning/lifecycle controls, and operational reporting (including SharePoint Advanced Management where applicable).
• Lead stakeholders: run workshops, produce client-ready deliverables, and communicate risks, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly to technical and business audiences.
