Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior M365 Platform Security, Compliance & AI Architect to define the enterprise architecture for Microsoft 365 safeguards across Purview, Information Protection, Defender, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and Copilot AI. You will set the target state, patterns, standards, and guardrails to enable secure data use and governed automation.

You will partner with security, risk, legal, and engineering teams to embed Zero Trust, least privilege, and policy enforcement

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise technology experience with security, compliance, or AI platform architectures at scale.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Information Protection, Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Strong data protection, encryption, DLP, retention, eDiscovery, auditing, and governance capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication; ability to justify security and AI tradeoffs.
• Experience establishing platform standards, governance, and lifecycle roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architecture and multi-year roadmap for Purview, MIP, Defender, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and related services.
• Define reference architectures, integration models, and guardrails for information protection, compliance, and low-code automation.
• Lead architecture reviews and guidance on data classification, sensitivity labeling, encryption, retention, and eDiscovery.
• Define architecture for Defender capabilities, telemetry, incident workflows, and security operations alignment.
• Establish governance for Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot agents including environments, connectors, and data policies.
• Partner with Information Security, Data Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, and Engineering to embed Zero Trust and least privilege.
• Identify risk areas such as oversharing, excessive permissions, and third-party connectors; translate into actionable controls.
• Evaluate roadmap changes, licensing implications, and AI/security capabilities; inform investment sequencing and risk-based decisions.
• Maintain architecture health metrics and communicate risks and value realization to governance forums.
