Job summary
University of Utah UIT is seeking a Senior M365 Architect to design, implement, and optimize the Microsoft 365 ecosystem across the university. You will lead architectural governance, integrate Copilot, Purview, Defender, and Entra ID, and ensure secure, scalable collaboration and analytics.
The role emphasizes strategic planning, enterprise framework usage (TOGAF/Zachman), and hands-on leadership in designing M365 solutions while coordinating with engineering teams for reliable service
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 6–7 years of experience.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Copilot, Purview, Defender, Entra ID.
- Experience with governance and security in M365.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the enterprise M365 architecture roadmap aligned with institutional strategy.
- Oversee deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of M365 services.
- Lead implementation and governance of Copilot and AI features.
- Define governance policies for M365, Copilot, Purview, and Defender.
- Build Power BI dashboards for M365 usage, adoption, licensing, and security posture.
