Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Service Engineer, Low Voltage Electrical, to act as the primary link between field technicians and design engineering for assigned vehicle programs.

You will influence service standards in new designs and assist technicians post-launch, using creativity to service vehicles where changes are not possible. You will drive serviceability metrics, define part strategies for electrical devices and harnesses, and collaborate across engineering, training, parts, and diagnostics

Qualifications

• BS in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Five years’ low voltage electrical engineering experience in automotive or comparable industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design aspects for serviceability in low-voltage electrical systems and influence cross-functional teams.
• Develop and drive requirements into the engineering development process.
• Define service part BoM strategy for electrical devices and harnesses; minimize lifecycle costs.
• Review engineering change proposals and assess impacts on service parts, tools, or processes.
• Verify repairs and field action instructions are clear for technicians.
• Collaborate with service tool engineering, service parts, diagnostic engineering, and training teams to enable repairs.
• Ensure service procedures are properly applied in the field.
• Identify and escalate emerging concerns into a closed-loop resolution system.
• Track serviceability metrics across products and drive continuous improvement.
