Job summary

Harbinger, an American EV company, seeks a Sr. Design Release Engineer for LV systems in California. You will manage LV wiring harness design and supplier interactions, ensuring correct packaging and robust BOM control within the PLM system.

You will drive end-to-end ECO/ECR processes, coordinate cross-functional reviews, and maintain aggressive schedules to meet breadboard testing and production milestones. 3+ years in automotive LV design preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, release engineering, or program management focused on automotive LV systems or wire harnesses.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical design tools and PLM/BOM management systems.
• Solid understanding of 12V/24V vehicle architectures and CAN/LIN/Automotive Ethernet.
• Proven ability to manage multiple supplier relationships and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supplier project management: act as the primary technical point of contact for LV component and wire harness suppliers.
• Design & packaging management: oversee 2D/3D wiring diagrams and harness routing within vehicle architecture.
• Engineering release ownership: manage ECOs and ECRs and BOM in PLM system.
• Project timeline execution: develop and maintain schedules and mitigate lead-time delays.
• Internal design collaboration: lead cross-functional reviews with Vehicle Integration, Firmware/Software, and Manufacturing.
