Job summary

Harbinger Motors Inc. is seeking an Engineer, Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) Design to design, validate, and integrate electrical wiring harnesses for our next-generation EV platforms.

You will lead 2D/3D EDS designs and work closely with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years for automotive EDS, and hands-on HV/LV experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in EDS design for automotive or related industries.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5/V6, Siemens NX, or Zuken.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and wiring harnesses.
• Experience with HV and LV electrical systems.
• Familiarity with CAN/LIN protocols and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, and ISO 26262 safety standards.
• Strong organization and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; teamwork in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop wiring harnesses, connectors, and distribution systems.
• Create 2D/3D EDS designs with CATIA V5/V6, Siemens NX, or Zuken.
• Develop wiring schematics, routing layouts, and BOMs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and safety standards.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical engineers.
• Perform tolerance analyses, routing feasibility studies, and mockups.
• Lead DV/PV testing and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Interface with suppliers for timely delivery of components.
• Support manufacturing and field service during build and issues.
