Job summary

General Motors Holdings LLC in Milford, MI is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer specialized in low voltage (LV) batteries to lead system engineering activities from concept to production. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and GM requirements, while developing reliability plans such as FMEAs and validation tests.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze field data, and define system requirements and interfaces for LV battery systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
7+ years in systems engineering for automotive battery systems.
Experience with ISO 26262 and UN ECE R100 regulatory standards.
Proven reliability engineering experience (FMEA, FTA, HALT/HASS).
Strong battery chemistry and BMS knowledge.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead LV battery management system engineering from concept to production.
Ensure LV battery systems comply with ISO 26262, UN ECE R100, and GM requirements.
Develop reliability plans including FMEAs, DVPRs, and validation testing.
Collaborate with design, validation, manufacturing, and suppliers to integrate LV battery systems.
Analyze field data and warranty claims to drive corrective actions.
Define and document system requirements, specifications, and interface controls.
Participate in design reviews and provide guidance on LV battery architecture and performance.
Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes related to LV battery systems.
