Job summary

General Motors is seeking a senior engineer to lead the VMEC BHV ART, owning the architecture, requirements context and cross-functional collaboration with Product and System teams. You will drive roadrmap prioritization, enable robust validation strategies, and mentor engineers across SSLEs, Diagnostics, and Software Architects.

The role emphasizes electrification, software-defined vehicles, and high voltage systems, with a hybrid work arrangement in Milford, MI, including on-site collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, electronics, automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 7+ years of engineering experience related to embedded control systems, software, electrification, calibration, related hardware, and/or safety critical system development, system engineering.
• Experience with requirements development and automotive system engineering and architecture.
• Proficiency in embedded controls and software architecture and design trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision for the ART functional subsystems and define architecture and requirements context.
• Lead collaboration with Product Team to refine priorities and ensure architecture supports hardware integration.
• Guide and mentor engineers, and interact with multiple teams to ensure traceability and robust validation.
