Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer focused on Low Voltage (LV) battery systems in Milford, MI. The role involves leading system engineering from concept to production and ensuring compliance with ISO 26262, UN ECE R100, and GM standards.

Responsibilities include reliability planning (FMEA/FTA/HALT/HASS), interface control, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with design, validation, manufacturing, and suppliers. Hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
7+ years in systems engineering with automotive battery focus.
Experience with ISO 26262 and UN ECE R100 regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Lead the system engineering activities for LV battery management systems, from concept to production.
Ensure LV battery systems and software implementations comply with GM requirements and regulatory standards.
Develop and execute reliability engineering plans for LV battery systems (FMEAs, DVP&Rs, validation).
Collaborate with design, validation, manufacturing, and suppliers to integrate LV battery systems.
Analyze field data and warranty claims to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
