Job summary

The Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Events Manager to lead planning and execution of group and catering events at our luxury property.

In this full-time role you will coordinate with sales, front office and reservations, assign room setups, and ensure flawless service while promoting the hotel facilities. The position reports to the Director of Catering and Events and requires excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage detailing, servicing and administrative duties for group and catering events to luxury brand standards.
• Coordinate with sales, front office and reservations to manage guest room blocks and special reservations.
• Assign banquet/meeting rooms and review setup accuracy; monitor in-house group activity.
• Conduct onsite and virtual tours for clients/planners to promote hotel facilities and services.
• Plan and conduct pre- and post-convention meetings with clients and respective departments.
• Document tracking of group activity and input data into the computer system to generate history reports.
• Willingness to perform assigned duties and assist other departments when needed.
