Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer II for GSE & tooling in Kent, WA. Lead design and release of tooling to enable lunar hardware production, partnering with cross‑functional teams to ensure manufacturability and on‑time builds.

You will drive requirements, concept and detailed design, fabrication coordination, validation, and continuous improvement across the tooling lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent.
• 3+ years designing, releasing tooling or GSE for mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with 3D CAD, GD&T, design for manufacturability/assembly, and controlled docs.

Responsabilités

• Design tooling, fixtures, handling equipment, and GSE for efficient manufacturing and test.
• Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, technicians, quality, and operations.
• Plan builds of engineering demonstrators and prototype hardware with hands-on support.
• Drive DFX, conduct producibility assessments, and bridge manufacturing gaps.
• Develop, release, maintain CAD models, drawings, specs, and procedures for tooling.
