Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations team. You will lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure quality control, and optimize supply chain logistics for production.

You will collaborate across engineering, QA, and production to streamline operations and reduce costs. Responsibilities include developing documentation, implementing new manufacturing technologies, and performing root cause analysis to improve reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.
• 3+ years of experience creating English work instructions.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or eligible for U.S. work authorization.
• Must be able to work second shift and have flexibility to move shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new products and processes.
• Contribute to design for manufacturability, assembly, and test.
• Translate engineering requirements into robust manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate production.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and inspection plans.
• Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and methods.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Perform process FMEA, risk assessments, and validate new lines and equipment.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
