Job summary

Blue Origin on the Space Coast is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement efficient manufacturing systems for lunar and spacecraft hardware. You will collaborate with design, quality, supply chain and operations to streamline processes, reduce costs, and accelerate build timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering is required.
• 3+ years Level II/5+ years Level III/8+ years Level IV Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ability to create clear manufacturing documentation (work instructions, BOM, flow diagrams).
• Ability to work shifts and site, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new flight and payload hardware across lunar and spacecraft programs.
• Drive DFM, DFA, DFT across the product lifecycle.
• Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to integrate products and accelerate build.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (work instructions, inspection plans, process flows, tooling).
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies (composites, machining, additive, metrology, automation).
• Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective action.
• Ensure compliance to AS9100, ISO 9001, NASA, UL, AWS standards.
