Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services is seeking a Reimbursement Analyst V in Austin to lead senior-level rate analysis for Medicaid and LTSS programs. You will oversee rate methodologies, financial evaluations, and implementation of reimbursement structures with minimal supervision.

The role mentors junior staff, prepares policy documents, and collaborates with leadership to ensure compliance and timely decisions. Telework is eligible; in-office presence may be required two days weekly.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university required.
• Major coursework in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field preferred.
• At least three years of experience in accounting, Medicaid/Medicare, healthcare business, state government policy, statistics, finance, or other relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the development and implementation of policy and financial analysis to determine and evaluate payment rates for various long-term care programs and services.
• Oversees design and study of special cost, surveys and analysis to evaluate options and changes.
• Prepares memos and white papers for Executive Leadership and ensures timely approvals.
• Mentors junior staff and assists in training while supporting LTSS rate methodologies.
