Job summary

The Reimbursement Analyst I at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission evaluates long-term care reimbursement rates and methodologies. You will work on rate research, cost surveys, and policy analysis under supervision, developing reports and recommendations for rate setting.

Telework may be available; in-office presence is required at times based on business needs. Ideal candidates hold a four-year degree with strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university required.
• Major coursework in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, statistics, or related field preferred.
• Practical experience may substitute for major coursework.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policy and financial analyses to determine and evaluate payment rates.
• Design and study cost surveys; prepare ad hoc analyses and fiscal estimates.
• Participate in rate adoption activities and prepare documents for federal approval as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements and create/update internal policies and templates.
