Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Reimbursement Analyst III to process Medicaid and Non-Medicaid cost reports under LTSS. The role requires senior-level technical work, including reconciliations, policy documentation, and process improvements within the Provider Finance Department.

The position emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, adherence to Texas Admin Code rules, and the development of new cost reports to meet program changes. Strong Excel and Word skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college with major in accounting or related field.
• Experience with financial analysis and reimbursement contexts preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel for document formatting and data review.
• Familiarity with policy analysis and financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct informal reviews of LTSS cost and financial reports and reconcile supporting documents.
• Perform cost report reconciliations and ensure timeliness per policies.
• Draft cost reporting instructions and policy documentation for accessibility.
• Communicate complex information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and update cost reports to meet changing requirements.
• Provide leadership and peer-review support to junior staff.
• Perform other duties to support HHSC operations.
