Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking a seasoned operations supervisor to lead inbound dock activities and oversee a team of local LTL drivers and dock staff. You will manage forklift flow, load planning, and KPI performance while upholding safety standards.

The role requires prior management, dispatch, and dock experience within the LTL trucking industry, with a readiness to work 50 hours weekly across various shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have experience managing a team in transportation operations.
• Strong understanding of the LTL trucking industry.
• Prior management, dispatch, and dock experience required in LTL trucking.
• Proven leadership: hire, coach, and mentor employees.
• Willing to work 50 hours per week with various shifts and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound operations for designated terminal dock section.
• Unloading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight handling oversight.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet production schedules.
• Build loads using available labor and freight levels.
• Ensure proper trailer cube and weight and safe loading.
• Provide leadership and accountability to drivers and dock staff.
• Monitor dock production and KPI goals; manage hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with DOT/OSHA standards.
• Support operational model compliance and excellence in product service.
