Central Transport LLC is a major LTL carrier recruiting an Operations Supervisor to oversee the terminal dock, unloading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight flow. You will manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock staff to meet production targets while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, dispatch experience, and a solid understanding of the LTL environment, with a focus on coaching and mentoring employees in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading a team in transportation operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry.
• Experience in management, dispatch and dock operations is required.
• Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Oversee operations for designated terminal dock area.
• Manage unloading, forklift traffic, and proper palletized freight sorting.
• Lead up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet production schedules.
• Build loads based on labor and freight availability using independent judgement.
• Monitor trailer cube and weight to ensure safe loads.
• Provide leadership and accountability to drivers and dock staff.
• Track dock production and ensure KPI goals are met or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime; maintain safety standards and DOT/OSHA compliance.
