Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Finance/Carrier Relations professional in the United States (Charlotte area) to strengthen customer relationships and analyze financial implications of proposals.

You will negotiate pricing, manage BID/RFPs, and develop dynamic pricing with cross-functional teams to support growth and profitability. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and project-management skills, plus the ability to travel and collaborate with internal partners to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, sales or business plus five years' experience in financial analysis, financial planning, business consulting, project management, accounting, sales or operations analysis/management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact successfully with all management levels as well as directly with customers
• Strong pricing experience and related analytic skills preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong project management skills
• Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and/or financial support systems
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as the member of a team
• Able to lead project groups and independently represent the Carrier Relations function

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and partnership
• Negotiate complex pricing programs and upsell value added services within the LTL space
• Facilitate and/or manage BID/RFP activity with stakeholders and benchmarking
• Assist in the development and execution of dynamic pricing with guidance leadership
• Produce forecasts, annual business plan and long-range plans aligned with financial objectives
• Coordinate with operations and internal partners to provide a premier customer experience
• Collaborate with Sales on new and existing opportunities by providing LTL expertise
• Perform market research and use findings to develop growth strategies
• Monitor network capacity and develop pricing strategies to optimize balance
• Lead or participate in special projects driven by company needs
