Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary, Controllership Oversight, to govern LTC models and controls. You will become the expert on LTC data flows and advise on the design of controls to ensure compliance with company, industry, and actuarial standards.

Your primary focus will be valuation, inforce rate actions, projections, experience, and data analytics, with collaboration across Operations and IT. You will support model peer reviews and governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, and/or related major.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate (ASA) designation with commensurate experience.
• Approximately 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably with LTC insurance.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of valuation, projections, and experience in actuarial processes.
• Results oriented, accountable for performance, and willingness to take ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Review existing controls for key high‑risk processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on administration system and data issues and controls.
• Provide governance peer review support for development and enhancement of LTC actuarial models and processes.
