Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to join the Model Governance and Controllership team. The role focuses on governance of LTC models, data, and controls to meet professional standards, company requirements, and regulatory expectations.

You will collaborate with valuation, projections, and experience teams, review high-risk processes, and support improvement initiatives while leveraging a strong actuarial background and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, and/or related major.
• Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation or ASA with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably with LTC insurance.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of actuarial processes: valuation, projections, and experience.
• Results oriented, accountable for performance, and willingness to take ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Govern LTC models and processes and provide guidance on controls.
• Review existing controls for high-risk processes and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on administration system issues and controls.
• Provide governance peer review support for development of LTC actuarial models.
