Job summary

Maverick Power seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and integrate low-voltage power distribution for modular solutions. You will own the electrical scope, lead system architecture, specify equipment, and ensure compliance with UL, IEEE, and NFPA standards.

You will coordinate with switchgear, transformers, protection, ATS/UPS, grounding, and related systems to deliver safe, code-compliant equipment. Strong collaboration and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 7+ years in low-voltage electrical engineering.
• Experience with UL 508A, panelboards, switchgear and related designs.
• Ability to apply UL 891/UL 1558, NEC, ANSI/IEEE, NFPA 70E standards.
• SolidWorks Electrical or similar software experience.
• Ability to interpret short-circuit, coordination and arc-flash results.
• Strong problem-solving, organization and communication skills.
• Team-oriented with engineering, manufacturing and project management collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Translate specifications into manufacturable low-voltage designs.
• Lead design reviews and approve schematics, BOMs, and drawings.
• Verify bus ampacity, short-circuit and protection ratings.
• Review CT/PT ratios and protection, metering and grounding sequences.
• Ensure compliance with UL/NEC/IEEE and coordinate with compliance teams.
• Maintain BOM integrity and revision control across drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve interfaces and constraints.
• Support FAT, first article inspections, and on-site troubleshooting.
• Track releases and engineering workload, manage risks and capacity.
