Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and integrate medium-voltage power distribution systems for modular data-center and industrial solutions. You will own electrical scope, lead system architecture, and ensure code-compliant, arc-flash-mitigated, manufacturable designs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with switchgear, transformers, protection systems, UPS, and energy storage, plus developing BOMs and ensuring manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial/utility/power distribution design.
• Experience with MV equipment (5kV–35kV) including switchgear and protective relaying.
• Working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, IEEE C37 series, IEEE 1584, UL switchgear standards.
• Experience performing short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and/or SolidWorks Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Develop power system architectures for MV and LV modular systems.
• Size and specify major equipment per standards.
• Define grounding strategies per NEC/IEEE code.
• Specify transfer switch and UPS systems, including redundancy topologies.
• Coordinate battery and energy storage integration.
• Develop protection philosophies and relay schemes.
• Create schematics for power, lighting, and control panels.
• Collaborate with procurement, PM, and production teams.
• Support commissioning and field troubleshooting.
