Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Low Voltage in Texas. You will design and integrate low-voltage power distribution for modular solutions, owning electrical scope for moderate to high complexity projects and coordinating cross-functional interfaces across gear and control systems.

You will apply UL 891, UL 1558, and NEC standards, lead design reviews, and ensure code-compliant, manufacturable designs while collaborating with mechanical engineering, production, and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 7 years electrical engineering experience in low-voltage power distribution.
• Experience with UL 508A control panels, industrial control panels, panelboards, switchboards, or switchgear design.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret UL 891, UL 1558, and UL 508A requirements; working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E.
• Experience with SolidWorks Electrical or similar electrical design software.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer specifications into manufacturable designs.
• Lead design reviews and approve deliverables (schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, drawings).
• Verify bus ampacity, short-circuit and withstand ratings, breaker ratings and interlocks.
• Review CT/PT selection, ratios, burden, grounding, and transfer sequencing.
• Apply UL/CSA standards and coordinate with compliance personnel.
• Maintain BOM consistency and revision control.
