Job summary

Maverick Power in the United States seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and integrate MV/LV power distribution for modular data-center and industrial applications. You will lead system architecture, specify equipment, and ensure compliance with UL, IEEE, and NFPA standards while coordinating with switchgear, UPS, batteries, and grounding.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, at least four years of relevant experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial, utility, or mission-critical power distribution design.
• Demonstrated experience with MV equipment (5kV–35kV) including switchgear and protective relaying.
• Working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, IEEE C37 series, IEEE 1584, UL switchgear/switchboard standards.
• Experience performing or leading short circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and/or SolidWorks Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Develop power system architectures (one-lines, three-lines as required) for MV (5kV–35kV class) and LV modular systems.
• Size and specify major equipment in accordance with applicable standards (UL 1558, UL 891, UL 857, UL 67 IEEE C37 series).
• Define grounding and bonding strategies in accordance with NEC/IEEE 80/IEEE 3007.
• Specify and integrate transfer switch systems (UL 1008) and UPS systems (UL 1778) including N, N+1, 2N topologies.
• Coordinate battery and energy storage integration (UL 1973, UL 9540).
• Define protection philosophies and relay schemes consistent with IEEE C37 standards.
• Develop control and interlock philosophies with controls engineers.
• Develop schematics for auxiliary power and control panels (UL 508A).
• Coordinate interfaces with HVAC and fire protection systems (NFPA 72, NFPA 855).
• Support UL/NRTL listing efforts and BOM maintenance.
• Collaborate with procurement, project management, and production teams.
• Support commissioning and field troubleshooting.
