Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and integrate medium-voltage power distribution systems for modular solutions serving data centers and industrial markets. You will lead electrical scope on projects, overseeing system architecture, equipment specs, protection strategy, grounding design, and compliance with UL/IEEE/NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial, utility, or mission-critical power distribution design.
• Experience with MV equipment (5kV–35kV) including switchgear and protective relaying.
• Working knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEEE C37 series, IEEE 1584, UL switchgear standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop MV/LV power system architectures for modular systems.
• Size and specify major equipment per applicable standards.
• Define grounding and bonding strategies per NEC and IEEE 80/3007.
• Specify transfer switch systems and UPS including redundancy topologies.
• Coordinate battery and energy storage integration (UL 1973/9540).
• Develop protection philosophies and relay schemes; coordinate settings.
• Create control/interlock philosophies with controls engineers.
• Develop schematics for auxiliary power, lighting and panels.
• Support UL/NRTL listings and customer compliance programs.
• Develop BOMs and collaborate with procurement and manufacturing.
• Assist with FAI/FAT, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
